Shadow Prints

Two years ago, my family visited Germany to attend a close friend’s wedding. After the wedding, my husband and I visited Frieburg, Germany. The first day we were there, we were walking down the street and our figures cast very elongated shadows on the sidewalk. I raised my camera, took a picture, and knew that I would use this shadow in a print when I got back to the states. Ever since then, I have been capturing shadows of myself, friends and family that I incorporate in my work, while continuing to use expressive colors and textures. I think of these images as self-portraits/portraits. They are not well identified, but rather they create a mood, so that the viewer can interpret them as he or she wishes. Each print is one of a kind and pricing does not include framing.
