Seasonally, I find it necessary to take a break from my usual artistic practice to create art purely for enjoyment. Whether it’s inspired by the spring blossoms, fall colors, and the fresh air of spring or by the large, mystical black crows that swoop into our yard to drink from the pond, each season offers a unique palette, distinct scents, and different creatures. Every day evokes new personal responses to the world around me. Meanwhile, thoughts of community, politics, and social justice remain ever on my mind.
